Ghibli Me a Break!
In this edition: We talk about Ghibli, Youtube summaries and F1 | Mixology 54
If you had slept through the whole of last week, this newsletter’s headline would very much seem like a typo.
But as it happens, whether you wanted to or not, the whole week was just wave after wave of Ghibli slop (yes that is a term). We take a look at the larger impact of this moment, especially on design and branding.
🌏 Product & Design News:
ChatGPT’s Ghibli-Style Art
Recently, OpenAI’s ChatGPT made waves in the creative world with its ability to generate stunning Ghibli-style artwork.
This breakthrough highlights the growing sophistication of AI in replicating well-loved artistic styles, allowing users to produce visually rich, nostalgic imagery with just a simple prompt.
The ability to recreate such distinct aesthetics showcases how AI tools are becoming indispensable in both creative and commercial applications.
Expanding AI Image Generation Capabilities
The latest advancements in AI-powered image generation go beyond artistic styles. OpenAI’s latest model now supports high-resolution image outputs, improved text rendering within images, and better control over composition.
This makes it a powerful tool for a variety of applications, transforming industries like digital marketing, design, and branding.
Key Use Cases of AI Image Generation
Ghibli-Style and Other Art Forms: The ability to generate art in styles inspired by legendary studios allows artists and designers to create breathtaking visuals without the need for extensive manual illustration. Whether it’s anime, surrealism, or classical painting styles, AI can assist in achieving a desired look effortlessly.
Brand Advertising & Marketing: AI-generated visuals are making a significant impact in brand storytelling. Companies can craft unique, attention-grabbing advertisements, custom product mockups, and immersive campaign visuals without hiring large creative teams.
UI & Product Design: AI is also influencing UI design by quickly generating interface layouts, component styles, and even conceptual product designs. With AI’s ability to generate wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, product designers can explore multiple design directions in a fraction of the time.
Personalized Content Creation: Businesses and content creators are leveraging AI to generate unique, tailored graphics for social media, blogs, and e-commerce platforms. This enables brands to maintain a consistent aesthetic while reducing content creation efforts.
Final Thoughts
With these advancements, AI-generated images are no longer just novelties but essential tools reshaping creative workflows. As models continue to evolve, we can expect even greater personalization, accuracy, and artistic flexibility, making AI an integral part of the future of digital creativity.

🖥️ From Founders’ Desk:
What Akshay is tuned into: Formula 1
The Formula 1 season is very much back. This year it is expected to get even more eyeballs with Lewis Hamilton moving to Ferrari.
I’ve been an F1 fan since I was a kid (Schumacher days), and the F1 of today, from the broadcast perspective, is very different from then.
I especially keep an eye-out for the tech advancements: AWS insights (which are mostly incorrect), the Helmet Cam and in general the graphics used during the races. There is always something interesting that F1 brings in each year.
If F1 is completely new to you and you’d like a low down, Netflix’s Drive to Survive (early seasons) are a good masala intro.
That’s all for this week.
Wish you all a very Happy Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid!
We’ll see you next week. Adios!
